Older Peoples NASC ServicesNeed Assessment Services Co-ordination (NASC) agencies work with older people to help identify their needs and to outline what support services are available. They allocate District Health Board-funded support services and assist with accessing other supports. DefinitionThe NASC definition of an eligible older person is: Someone who has been identified as having an age-related disability which is likely to continue for a minimum of six months and result in a reduction of independent function to the extent that ongoing support is required.
