A brief history of NASCA
1999: | The need for a networking group for NASCS was recognised and a meeting held in Wellington. |
2000-2001: | A decision was made to formalise the group. A Constitution was developed. |
2001 : | The group formed as an incorporated society with Tim Slow as first President. |
2006: | First biennial NASCA conference held in Hamilton. |
2008: | Second NASCA conference held in Christchurch. |
2009: | Launch of the NASC National Certificate Disability Support Assessment, Planning, and Coordination (DSPAC) The Te Arero group, now the Maori caucus of NASCA, was brought under the umbrella of NASCA. |

- Support of the DSAPC national certificate pilot programme with Careerforce
- Self Assessment Literature Review and Stocktake
- Implementation of Funded Family Carers operational policy
